#48 team penalties announced.
Crew Chief Chad Knaus and Car Chief Ron Malec will both be suspended for the next 6 points paying Sprint Cup events. Both will also be put on probation until May 6.
Jimmie Johnson will be penalized 25 driver points, and Jeff Gordon will be penalized 25 owner points.
Since JJ only earned 2 points in Daytona, he will go into Phoenix with -23 points to his name.

It was like a perfect storm of additional viewership: First off, it’s the Daytona 500, so you already get non-fans watching in the first place. Then add in that Danica’s in the race, so you get even more people watching to see how she’ll do. Been watching the radar for the past hour.
It’s looking promising, I’ve noticed after the rain cells hit land, they almost immediately start breaking apart. There’s a semi-large cell coming, but I think once it reaches Daytona it’ll be in bits and pieces. It’s already a lot weaker cell than it was an hour ago.
Maybe a caution or two, but I don’t think there will be any red flags (for rain at least)....

You have to have your team set 5 minutes before the race. So with the time it takes to sign up, a safe point of no return time for the league is around 6:45. If we don’t have 8 teams by then, no Daytona 500 for us.

By the way, my opinion of Danica hasn't changed.
Not a huge surprise. I said if she drove well, she could change my opinion. She obviously had a good car, qualifying on the pole proofed that, but she did nothing with it while she’s was still in the race. She worked her way up to the front a couple times, but considering she was working with Stewart and Junior, 2 of the best super speedway drivers in the field, she should have been able to...

He saved a race car that was all but wrecked twice in one night, then made one hell of a move to win. If you doubt Kyle Busch’s abilities, you need to watch that race again, because you obviously went blind in the past 2 hours.
He’s the best race car driver in NASCAR right now and I don’t doubt he’s the only one who could have saved that car once, let alone twice.

Not sure who to go through, Yahoo or NASCAR.com. I’m leaning towards NASCAR.com, but I have no experience with them at all, I don’t really know if there’s much difference between the two.
